We are the New Gloucester Village Store, a 135-year old market/restaurant with a wood-fired brick oven serving 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. We make Ready-Made Meals, sides, salads, soups, and such to sell out of the cooler. We sell meats, cheeses, produce, beverages, gourmet groceries, as well as the basics. We have a menu of unique quality sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast, and more, as well as pizza; made-to-order, as slices, and pre-cooked out of the cooler.
We have been closed for a couple years and are reopening in May.
We are seeking a Kitchen Manager to work closely with the owner/manager and a local chef to develop new protocols and systems, then help develop and manage the team that will implement them. The main responsibilities beyond food production and staff management are inventory management and in-depth labor and food cost analysis.
