Responsibilities
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles across diverse locations.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery method or necessary repairs.
- Load and unload vehicles carefully, utilizing appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches, ensuring damage-free handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Manage conflict situations effectively, maintaining composure and professionalism during challenging interactions.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
- Assist with automotive repair tasks when needed, leveraging mechanic experience to troubleshoot issues or prepare vehicles for transport.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, including flatbeds and other commercial towing equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose automotive issues accurately.
- Hands-on automotive repair skills and familiarity with manual transmissions are highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate tools and techniques; forklift certification is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle diverse situations professionally.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, perform manual tasks, and stand or walk for extended periods during shifts. Pay: $25.27 - $30.44 per hour
