Job description:
We are looking for a reliable and caring individual to prepare nutritious meals for young children in a warm, community-centered program.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snack following Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines
Plan simple, healthy menus and communicate with the director about food needs and menu choices
Manage food shopping, inventory, and budget
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
Follow proper food safety practices, including awareness of food allergies and dietary needs
Attend occasional required trainings
Option to assist in classrooms as needed or as part of a regular schedule
Qualifications:
Enjoys cooking and baking for children
Organized, self-motivated, and dependable
Basic understanding of food safety (or willingness to learn)
Positive attitude and comfort working around young children
Job Type: Part-time. Full-time option available if desire to help in classrooms.
