GAC Chemical Corporation in Searsport, Maine is hiring an experienced industrial maintenance technician to join our team. This is a journeyman-level position in a chemical manufacturing facility. You will be working independently and leading less experienced team members on a variety of maintenance tasks. If you have broad trade skills and experience in an industrial or plant setting, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing journeyman-level work in at least three trade disciplines such as millwright, pipefitting, welding, electrical, instrumentation, machining, rigging, or carpentry
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and maintenance problems across the facility
- Directing the work of junior maintenance staff as needed
- Performing manual adjustments and routine servicing on steam boilers
- Carrying out maintenance tasks safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Journeyman-level experience in at least three industrial maintenance trade areas
- Maine High Pressure Boiler Operator License required
- Experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial plant setting preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety procedures, and maintenance manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Pay: From $28.64 per hour
