S.B. Taylor Moving is growing, and we’re looking for a few dependable, hardworking people to join our moving and packing team in South Portland.
We’re a small, family-run company with a big focus on taking care of our customers and taking care of our team.
Starting pay is $20/hour + tips.
This is a flexible, as-needed position, which can be a great fit if you’re looking for extra income, have another job, are in school, or simply don’t want the same 9-to-5 routine every day.
And when you are scheduled, you receive a 4-hour minimum of pay, even if the job finishes early.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE DOING
You’ll work alongside our crew helping with:
• Residential moves
• Senior moves
• Packing and unpacking
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
• Furniture protection and placement
• Estate cleanouts
• Local and occasional out-of-state moves
• Helping customers through what can be a very stressful day
Some days are physically demanding. Some are long. Some involve travel.
But you’re also part of the reason someone gets to walk into their new home at the end of the day and feel relieved that everything went smoothly.
NO MOVING EXPERIENCE? THAT’S OK.
We can teach someone how to properly wrap furniture, pack a truck, protect a home, and move efficiently.
It’s much harder to teach someone to:
Show up.
Care.
Communicate.
Have a good attitude.
Treat people with respect.
That’s what we’re looking for.
In fact, we’re perfectly happy hiring someone without moving experience if they’re dependable, coachable and willing to learn.
