Green Clean Maine is growing and seeking a House Cleaning Trainer to join our team!

What You'll be Doing: You will work as a full-time House Cleaning Technician Trainer, cleaning clients’ homes in the greater Portland area and teaching newly hired cleaning technicians how to clean using the Green Clean Maine Method. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for day to day oversight of assigned technicians and navigating to job sites safely and efficiently.
- Facilitates delivery of new technician training on various skill, policy and compliance areas in accordance with written training manuals. Ensures all training is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Performs duties of Cleaning Technician
- Conducts quality checks of assignments to ensure service standards are met. Follows up with new technicians regarding necessary corrections and future adjustments.
- Provides feedback and coaching to new technicians to ensure cleaning standards and customer service levels are met. Coaches new technicians regarding performance and behavioral expectations and provides tools/training to ensure future success. Provides inputs on evaluation of trainees. Escalates complex performance or behavioral concerns to Field Training Supervisor.
- Administers, scores and reports final on-site testing of new technicians to the Field Training Supervisor for final approval.
- Supports retention of frontline employees through attendance and active participation in retention activities as directed by management. This includes but is not limited to: morning meetings, post-training support for new employees, providing input on continuous improvement of retention processes.
- Supports a culture of safety by closely adhering to safe work practices, continuously scanning work environment for hazards and taking action to mitigate, practicing proper ergonomics and body awareness. Provides training, feedback and coaching to new technicians to ensure safe work practices are clear and observed. Documents safety incidents as required and assists in safety incident investigations.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner consistent with company core values, getting along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
- Opens and/or closes the office for the day’s field work as assigned by Field Training Supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:
- A GED/High School Diploma is required.
- A valid, unexpired driver’s license is required.
- 3+ years of work experience. Experience cleaning residential homes and knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and methods required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and self-manage the workload for self and team with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use proper judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines; excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a dedicated professionalism to job and duties
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Physical Demands: This position is continuously required to stand, walk, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, squat, or crawl. The position is frequently required to sit and to safely operate a motor vehicle. This position requires repetitive motions in the wrist, elbow, shoulder and ankle. The position must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.This position will be required to work at a moderate to fast physical pace for the duration of his/her job hours hired for.
· Special Demands: Visual acuity- this position is frequently required to visually inspect work for small details such as dust, hair and crumbs, and must have precise close-up vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Position duties entail frequent exposure to client environments which may include fragrances, dust and pet dander.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
