- Shift: Evening Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Minimum Experience: 3 Years
- Required Certification: BLS/BCLS
- License Requirement: Current, Active LPN License
Key ResponsibilitiesMedication Administration and Management
- Administer medications through approved oral, rectal, topical, inhalation, ophthalmic, and otic routes in accordance with established procedures and facility policies.
- Maintain the medication cart and medication storage areas in a clean, organized, and secure condition.
- Obtain authorization from the licensed nurse before administering PRN medications, as required by facility policy.
- Complete required medication counts for designated non-narcotic countable medications at the beginning and end of each shift, in coordination with the appropriate staff member.
- Monitor medication supplies for assigned residents and coordinate medication reorders with the nursing team.
- Accurately document all medication administration in the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
- Follow facility restrictions regarding Schedule II controlled substances and sliding-scale medications.
