Your Role as a Hy-Tech Facilitator: As a Hy-Tech Facilitator, you'll be on the cutting edge of educational technology, ensuring seamless teletherapy sessions that empower students to reach their full potential. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Review any school updates, notices, or changes that might affect the day's schedule, such as assemblies or testing; update the SLP as needed.
- Verify the attendance list for any students scheduled for speech therapy who are absent. Email or text the SLP about any absences or changes in schedule.
- Ensure the computer is ready for teletherapy sessions and check that audio and video are functioning correctly.
- Collect students for their speech therapy sessions and ensure they arrive and return on time, managing transitions smoothly.
- Assist students as needed during sessions; redirect behavior, provide fidget toys, help with sticker charts or reward programs as directed by the SLP.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during teletherapy.
- Clean and sanitize the computer, mouse, and headphones throughout the day and at the end of each day.
- Assist the Hy-Tech SLP in connecting with other staff members and fostering collaborative relationships within the school.
