A hospital with 300 beds is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage. The position requires EMR proficiency in EPIC, along with certifications in BLS, ACLS, DEA, NRP, and ATLS. The ideal candidate should hold a Kentucky or compact license for faster onboarding. The schedule includes office coverage for three full days per week (8:30 AM 5 PM), one 24-hour weekday call shift every 6-8 days, and one 48-hour weekend call every 6-8 weekends. During call shifts, the clinician will manage labor and delivery post-triage by an OB Hospitalist, cover unassigned patients in the ED, and assist in surgical cases with other physicians. The role involves both clinic and call duties, with weekend call every 4-6 weeks. The group serves as second call for unassigned patients, managing an average of 100 deliveries per month. Required experience includes low-risk and high-risk OB, ultrasounds, amniocentesis, routine and complicated labor and delivery, VBACs, C-sections, gynecological surgery, and office procedures such as minor circumcisions.
