Job Title: Functional Life Skills Educational Technician II/III
Date Available: Immediately
Description:
- Supports direct academic and behavioral instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings, primarily with grades K-5.
- Perform non-instructional, non-evaluative functions
- Help students master equipment/instructional materials assigned by the teacher
- Provide classroom management functions
- Assist with playground/recess, lunch and bus duties as requested
- Assist with supervision of students during emergency / fire drills, assemblies and field trips
- Provide escort and assistance to students as necessary
- Work cooperatively and positively with coworkers and supervisors
- Participate in in-service training programs as assigned
- Perform Personal Care duties as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising special education teacher, principal, or Director of Special Services.
Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for Education Technician II, or III Certification from Maine Department of Education and CHRC fingerprinting.
Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC). A copy of your CHRC MUST be uploaded as part of your application to be considered.
