Summary
This position is designed for someone interested in joining the research team at the MaineHealth Institute for Research, Scarborough, ME. The Center for Applied Science and Technology (CAST) team works closely with the NorDx clinical lab in researching and developing new technologies to put into the practice of medicine for improved patient care and outcomes.
This Research Assistant I will work under the guidance of Anne Breggia, PhD, Director of CAST. A successful Research Assistant I will assist in the lab in each of these ways: set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment; monitor experiments, make observations, calculate and record results; recognize problems or deviations in experimental conditions and notify appropriate personnel; become skilled with routine techniques and procedures relevant to the overall goals of the lab. The availability of this position is not directly related to grant funding.
This position is a fully onsite role at MHIR in Scarborough, ME

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
