QUALIFICATIONS:
? High School Diploma
? Skills to provide excellent customer service to staff and students
? Ability to communicate effectively with users of varying age and skill levels
? Motivated, organized, independent worker and problem solver
? Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technology hardware, software, and network infrastructure
? Ability to collaborate and be an effective team member for both problem solving and proactive technology planning
? Knowledge of hardware, software, peripheral devices
? Knowledge of device management software
? Knowledge of network infrastructure
? Knowledge of network operating systems and equipment a plus
? Physical ability to handle and transport computers, printers, monitors, and other technology equipment.
NATURE OF WORK: Technology Support Specialists work collaboratively with Technology Department staff and under the direction of the Director of Technology, to provide support to schools and staff in realizing all priorities of MSAD 15’s strategic plan. Technology Support Specialists will be responsible for providing ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting/problem solving, 1:1 device management, and ongoing staff training and support.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
? Troubleshoot and problem solve issues with printing, networks, security systems, student and staff devices, phones, servers, software & apps, and other areas as assigned.
? Provide ongoing maintenance of all hardware, software, and network infrastructure as assigned.
? 1:1 device management including issuing, collecting, enrolling and managing with Mobile Device Management, repair, and inventory control.
? Provide training and support to staff and students for effective use of hardware and software.
? Collaborate with Technology Department staff for problem solving and proactive technology planning.
? Provide backup support to Data Specialist and Website Content manager functions as necessary.
? Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology
Candidates must hold a current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check upon commencement of employment.
