JOB SUMMARY
This position has overall responsibility for taking care of our facilities, carrying out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition to leave an amazing first impression on our guests! This position will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms, the lobby, the public areas and all back-of-house housekeeping closets.
CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms and hallways, as well as the lobby and other workspaces.
- Check all floors at the start of each shift and during the day to collect garbage, soiled linen, and other items as directed by management.
- Perform cleaning of guest rooms as directed to Lincoln Hotel standards.
- Restock linen supply on each floor by transporting clean linen to the housekeeping closets.
- Monitor weekly stock levels of all housekeeping supplies including cleaning chemicals, and cleaning tools.
- Monitor all weekly stock levels of guest amenities on a weekly basis, including shampoo, conditioner, soap, tissues, coffee, bottled water, etc.
- Maintain equipment in good condition.
- Report on any shortages, damages or security issues.
- Leave all housekeeping closets fully stocked and organized for the next day.
- Deep cleaning of assigned areas of hotel including, but not limited to, vacuuming of public area carpets, window washing, dusting of light fixtures and cleaning of guest elevators.
- Clean and maintain back of house areas including, but not limited to, employee break room, management offices, hotel laundry area and employee restroom.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport trash to dumpster
- Take found items to designated lost and found area
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Flexibility. This is a demanding business and we look for flexibility with work days and hours.
- Experience. Previous hospitality experience providing exceptional guest experience required.
- Knowledge. Proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling and usage of equipment.
- Communication skills. The ability to effectively communicate verbally is valued.
- People Person. Being a successful team member means you love working with your teammates and solving problems.
