Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Teaching Site Coordinator and play a pivotal role in enhancing educational outcomes for academically underserved students in grades Pre-K through 5th across 11 elementary schools in Southern Maine. You will engage students through innovative hands-on engineering design challenges that intertwine literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional learning, fostering essential skills for their future success, including initiative, problem-solving, communication, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program directors and school staff to manage student enrollment and registration.
- Implement and deliver in-person STEAM curriculum and enrichment activities with the support of site directors.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, volunteers, and school personnel regarding student enrollment, schedules, behavior, progress, and program visibility.
- Foster a physically and emotionally safe learning environment for students and staff.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with students, empowering them to make healthy personal, social, and academic choices.
- Document and maintain accurate records of attendance, meal counts, center activities, student records, team meetings, and other required documentation.
- Collaborate with directors in the development of enrichment activities, schedules, and curriculum.
- Supervise a team of teachers, teaching assistants, and volunteers.
- Lead weekly team meetings to assess program delivery needs and improvement objectives.
- Ensure accessibility to students, families, and team members via phone and email during program hours for timely communications.
- Assist in the scheduling and coordination of family and public events, presentations, partner activities, and special guests.
- Uphold professional standards at all times while adhering to program expectations, online safety guidelines, and learning standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in technology usage, including Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive Suite, Zoom, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Qualifications
- State of Maine Teaching Certification.
- Proven leadership experience in an educational context.
- BA or BS degree in Education or a related field.
