LGC is a global company dedicated to a simple and important principle: Science for a Safer World. And while nothing can compete with this mandate, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that we are equally dedicated to creating a great work environment where good people help each other to grow and to enjoy the time they spend together on our diverse and inclusive teams.
We’re currently looking for a Material Handler for our facility in Cumberland, ME. Our team here produces market leading linearity and calibration verification products. Essentially, these products help ensure that all kinds of medical lab tests provide accurate results that support important healthcare decisions. Science for a Safer World.
Your day-to-day will involve supporting the team’s success through the accurate handling of a variety of materials. You’ll receive shipments, add items to inventory, distribute materials to and from the labs, keep accurate records of inventory, prepare and send orders to customers, help to maintain an immaculate work environment and – as important as all the rest – contribute to a positive culture.
You’ll be provided with training and supervision on the processes of handling sensitive materials and you’ll become more autonomous as you get up to speed with things. Before long, you’ll be making suggestions on how we can collectively improve. You’ll become an expert with our systems, like SAP, and we’re pretty sure you’ll make some great connections with your teammates.
You’ll also enjoy a healthy work/life balance with a regular schedule. There may be the rare occasion when you’re needed for a second-shift or holiday/weekend duty assist, but rare is the key word here.
This is a full-time, permanent role with benefits, paid vacation and opportunity for growth. If this sounds like something worth exploring further, please take a look at the full job description on our company careers page and submit your application and resume.
