Office Support Specialist
Gray-New Gloucester ~ Central Office
Qualifications:
- Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required, additional post-secondary education or training preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in computer use such as word processing, spreadsheets, and online database management.
- 3 years' experience in a similar setting preferred.
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to:
Director of Curriculum and Staff Development
Job Goal:
To complete detailed work and coordinate activities essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the central office.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assist logistical coordination of professional development throughout the district
- Manage staff conferences including coordinating approval, travel, registration, payments, and reimbursements
- Manage staff courses in alignment with collective bargaining agreement benefits including coordinating approval, registration, payments, and reimbursements
- Manage district-level annual license renewals including quotes, invoicing, and payments
- Manage select school board committees and administrative team agendas, minutes, and packets
- Answering incoming phone calls and greet visitors
- Process school volunteer and student work permit applications
- Provide clerical support to the Director of Curriculum and Staff Development and the Superintendent's Administrative Assistant
- Perform other related functions as assigned
Work Year / Work Week:
- 40 hours per week
- 225 days per year
- Benefits eligible
