Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
- Develop project plans, set milestones, and track progress using project management tools and methodologies.
- Allocate resources effectively across various projects and initiatives to optimize performance and results.
- Oversee and evaluate office operations, implementing changes to ensure compliance with policies and achievement of goals.
- Guide local office managers in interpreting and implementing laws, rules, and policies.
- Analyze laws and regulations, recommending policy changes to senior management.
- Evaluate and improve state-wide programs and systems.
- Collaborate with Division management on state-wide initiatives and operational changes.
- Develop procedural manuals and informational resources for local offices.
- Ensure compliance with HR laws, policies, and practices, including AA/EEO and security protocols.
Skills or knowledge required:
- Extensive knowledge of unemployment security programs, labor laws, and civil service regulations
- Strong leadership and management skills, including ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Skill in coordinating multiple office operations and initiatives
- Ability to interpret and apply complex laws and regulations
- Proficiency in relevant computer programs and systems
- Project management expertise, including planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Minimum qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in Public or Business Administration, Economics or related field -and- six years experience in management and/or investigation/adjudication/personnel administration which includes a minimum of four (4) years experience in unemployment compensation work and two (2) years of responsible supervisory or managerial experience. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education requirements on a year-for-year basis.
