Position Summary:
The Governance & Controls Administrator serves as the Audit & Compliance Liaison for IT and will work with business units, system owners, vendors, auditors and compliance to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) and other regulatory requirements are delegated, tracked and completed on an established cadence. This role will assist with monitoring, access control and any other compliance related processes, will be responsible for all technology related management and board reporting, and may be responsible for the administration, management, support and upkeep of multiple bank-wide and department specific systems as assigned. This role will fully leverage systems, stay up to date on changes/upgrades, manage users, milestones and reporting and will also provide tier one technical assistance to users of systems, answer questions and resolve problems in person, via phone and/or electronically for systems assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is dedicated to the overall administration and configuration functions for all features of identified systems across the complete enterprise including:
- Maintain and develop audit documentation, tracking and reporting. Support regulatory and audit standards maintained by the bank.
- Maintain a current level of knowledge on regulatory and audit requirements as established by the bank.
- Recommend changes to expand or modify management, tracking or reporting to serve new purposes, fully utilize capabilities, and/or to improve workflow.
- Initialize and maintain company and user setups, personas and roles for areas or systems assigned.
- Recommend changes to expand or modify systems assigned to serve new purposes, fully utilize capabilities, and/or to improve workflow.
- Liaison with third party vendors to create and maintain compliance or regulatory reporting or processes as needed as well as custom integrations or exceptions when identified.
- Develop working relationships with vendor technical support departments, professional services groups, etc. for systems or roles assigned.
- Produce process, feature, and workflow documentation.
- Create and maintain report library and build custom reports as necessary for business groups. Prepare reporting for regulatory examination process including electronic submission of data to regulatory agencies.
- Maintain business rules for data entry, workflow progression and regulatory compliance as requested by each business group.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software problems when assigned.
- Perform system upgrades and related testing as necessary for systems assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, preferably in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- An understanding of the financial services industry and applicable laws and regulations
- Strong analytical skills, to include documentation and presentation
