Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Join Our Behavioral Health Emergency Department Team at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ME
St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide exceptional psychiatric services onsite in our Behavioral Health Emergency Department. Be part of a team that is deeply committed to improving mental health care for our community in Central Maine.
Position Highlights:
Flexible 12-hour shifts: Choose from 7 AM-7 PM, 8 AM-8 PM, or 9 AM-9 PM.
Three-day workweek with rotating weekend coverage (every 5th week).
Serve as the Admission Officer for inpatient units, collaborating with on-call psychiatrists and ED physicians.

Qualifications:
Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
Current PMHNP certification is required.
An unrestricted APRN or Physician Assistant license to practice in Maine.
Unrestricted DEA registration and state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
Child-capable certification required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing direct patient care for psychiatric disorders preferred.
