Two Fat Cats Bakery is opening a new location in the West End of Portland and we are looking for year-round, full-time kitchen leader to join our team! Two Fat Cats West End will be a bakery/cafe/market scheduled to open in October at 144 State Street in the Nightingale building. Like our Lancaster Street bakery, TFC West End will be a dynamic bakery offering the best in rustic American-style baking with a deep love for our community, good food and the joy that comes with it.

The Lead Kitchen Team Member position is a morning/day position, Tues - Saturday. Shifts start about 5:30 - 6:00am and end at 2pm.

The kitchen leader is responsible for providing leadership to the kitchen team of 4-5 part-time members, but also participates in the tasks of making all our soups, sandwiches, salads, and prepared meals. Other responsibilities include:
following recipes
accurate measuring and weighing
consistency and efficiency in production
collaboration with the owner and store manager on menu development
staff scheduling
daily and weekly ordering
adherence to safety protocols
cleanliness in the kitchen and our work environment

We are looking for an individual who is good tempered and polite, has a sense of humor, attention to detail, team focused, takes pride in their work, and can lead a team with respect and guidance.
At least 3 years in the hospitality industry is a must and experience leading teams is preferred. However, we will happily provide training for the right person. We offer a generous PTO policy, and a general desire to do right by all people. T
