L.L.Bean is searching for Outdoor Discovery Program Guide Apprentice to join their team.

POSITION PURPOSE: To learn and develop their technical and professional skills as instructors.
Position description:
Our team of ODP Instructors and Guides is looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join us to develop the practical skills and aptitude necessary to become a Registered Maine Guide! Throughout our season, Guide Apprenticesmust completerelevantin-house training, collaborate with a mentor Guide on their technical and teaching skills and hone their outdoor teaching skills with customers in a variety of settings.Alargeportionof this work will involve working with youths in our summer camp programming. We are looking for candidates who are motivated and excited to work towards earning their Maine Guide’s license. Successful apprentices will be flexible, havegood timemanagement skills, respond well to feedback and coaching, open tocollaboration, andultimately feelprepared and confident to take their Maine Guide exam.This position is designed to last for no more than two years, with the intentionof beingpromoted to a guide orinstructor when requirements are met.
