Mending Minds Counseling is seeking a Mental Health Counselor/Social Worker for a hybrid position: working from the office in Portsmouth, NH, with flexibility for some remote work. You would be responsible for conducting therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families. As part of this role, you would be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of mental health disorders.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Current license as a Mental Health Counselor (LCPC) or equivalent in the state of Maine (Pre-Licensed Candidates encouraged to apply, LCPCc, LCSWc)
- Experience providing counseling, therapy, or related services to individuals, couples, and families
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and teletherapy platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive and inclusive counseling services
- Familiarity with evidence-based practice, ethics, and standards in the mental health counseling field
