As an HVAC / Maintenance Technician, you’ll work hands-on with building systems, equipment, and grounds—ensuring everything operates at peak performance while supporting compliance with state and federal regulations.
What You’ll Do
-Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems, including HVAC, electrical controls, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
-Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems
-Perform general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor electrical work
-Complete preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans
-Maintain grounds and outdoor areas (mowing, plowing, sanding, etc.) to ensure safety and appearance
-Repair furniture, move equipment, and assist with facility upkeep and organization
-Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance issues, including occasional off-hours calls
-Operate facility vehicles for errands, deliveries, and pickups
-Accurately complete work orders and required documentation
-Support the Maintenance Supervisor and step into leadership responsibilities when needed
What We’re Looking For
-5+ years of HVAC experience
-Valid licensure in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, or boiler operation
-Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (heat pumps, compressors, boilers, cooling towers, etc.)
-Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA safety codes
-Experience with general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
-Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
-Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
