Responsibilities
- Operate and drive tractor-trailers with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of up to 100,000 pounds
- Haul 50' walking floor trailers to and from designated sites
- Securely attach power units to trailers and ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with weight regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELDs) and complete daily route paperwork
- Perform routine vehicle servicing, including refueling, checking tire pressure, and completing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
- Follow assigned routing and landfill schedules
- Maneuver and park tractor-trailers safely at various locations
- Navigate routes using GPS or other routing systems
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Consistent and dependable attendance record
- Availability to work weekdays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and roll trailer tarps
