Position Name: Dosing Nurse (LPN)
Location: Rockland, ME
Employment Type: Direct-Hire & Permanent
Setting: Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Clinic
Pay: $30 (LPN) | $34 (RN)
Shift: Early Morning Hours | Mon-Fri 4:30/5a-1/1:30p, rotating Sat 5:30/6a-10/11a
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active LPN or RN license in Maine.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on patient care experience.
- Basic computer proficiency, Microsoft Office experience, and accurate documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or outpatient clinic settings.
- Knowledge of medication administration and controlled substance protocols.
- Strong communication and patient engagement skills.
Job Summary:
The Dosing Nurse plays a vital role in supporting patients receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Working collaboratively with the Medical Director and clinical leadership team, this nurse ensures safe medication administration, accurate documentation, and a supportive patient experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering prescribed medications in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitoring patients prior to dosing and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Maintaining strict medication inventory control and daily reconciliation.
- Performing basic clinical tasks such as vital signs, lab collection, and screening support.
- Assisting with patient scheduling, documentation, and compliance standards.
- Supporting audit readiness and regulatory processes.
