Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing photovoltaic (solar) systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of renewable energy and make a positive environmental impact.
Duties
- Install photovoltaic solar systems, including mounting panels, wiring, and connecting electrical components according to schematics and blueprints
- Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot issues related to photovoltaic systems and electrical wiring
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and forklifts safely during installation processes on rooftops or ground-mounted sites
- Follow electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and other industry standards to ensure safe working conditions
- Conduct roofing work as needed for mounting solar panels securely on various types of roofs
- Perform plumbing tasks related to system components such as inverters or batteries when applicable
Experience
- Prior experience working as a solar technician or in electrical installation roles involving photovoltaic systems
- Commercial electrician experience with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, electrical schematics, and construction site procedures
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and using multimeters such as voltmeters
- Construction site experience including roofing, outdoor work environments, and working at heights on rooftops
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards for electrical safety procedures
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, ladders safely and efficiently
- Experience in renewable energy projects or onshore solar installations is highly desirable

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
