Our schedules are flexible, starting pay is$22/hour, we offer paid training and mileage reimbursement as well as an hourly rate for travel between clients.
We DO NOT have overnights, double/block shifts or late-night hours. Most hours available are between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend hours as available. We do not limit overtime for staff .

Bangor/Orono- 2-3 part time openings or 1 full time and 1or 2 part time openings
Brunswick/Topsham/Freeport- 1 full time or 2 part time openings
Gray- 1 full time opening
Portland- 2 full time openings
York/Kittery/Wells- 1 full time Opening
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist clients with engaging with peers in the community, finding interests and hobbies, forming natural relationships and supports while gaining confidence and independence within their local communities
- Follow carefully constructed care plans, actively work on identified goals and engage with the client's care team and natural supports.
- Document all activities, progress on goals, level of support needed, and other relevant information each shift on our EVV app - Wellsky Personal Care
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control procedures and assisting with light housekeeping tasks
- Attend and participate in all assigned supervisions and trainings as requested by your supervisor
- Be ready to engage with clients, be creative, have fun and enjoy making memories and having new experiences
- Having a passion or love of teaching and learning or showing others how to do something is helpful
- Transporting clients in your own vehicle is required- mileage reimbursement is offered.
Requirements
- 1 year or more experience as a DSP is preferred- No Experience? Driven to Learn? That's ok- training is provided and paid.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs,
- Be able to walk, hike, swim- love of the outdoors
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or obtainable during paid training
- Strong communication skills- ability to speak and write fluently in English
- Must excel at communicating over text, email and phone
- own and use a smart phone
- have access to reliable Internet
- comfortable using technology and documentation apps
- be dependable, punctual and consistent
- Valid Maine Drivers License
- Own a Vehicle that is inspected and insured
- Pass driving, criminal and DHHS background checks
- Provide 3 professional references

Training is provided and paid at an hourly rate! So you can "earn while you learn" before starting your career.
As an agency we recognize and respect that travel is expensive and make every effort to make meetings and trainings as available online or over zoom as possible.
Most staff who want full time hours work as both a DSP and BHP to be able to make the most of their working day. This is an option we encourage applicants to ask about and explore if interested.
