A Brief Overview
The Fulfillment Warehouse Manager 1 plays a key role in helping the supply chain meet the needs of their store operations partners in lower volume locations generally servicing less than 100,000 out shipments annually. They have direct P&L and operational responsibility for a fulfillment warehouse and serve as the main point of contact for store operation's partners, inclusive of breakage and shrink.
To be successful, the Warehouse Fulfillment Manager 1 must create an engaging culture, identify and develop a team of fulfillment warehouse associates, and ensure the right product is getting to the right place at the right time with high levels of service.
They must implement Safelite's best practices and processes while continually surfacing new ideas and approaches. They must be flexible and adaptable as Safelite's business model continues to evolve as we implement new systems and solutions.
What you will do
- Team Development and Retention
- Hires, coaches, trains, and develops fulfillment associates-providing both informal and formal job performance-based feedback.
- Engages and inspires the fulfillment associates.
- Creates a positive and engaging work environment where people are motivated to perform their best.
- Fulfillment Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversees warehouse, inventory, fleet and material handling for the fulfillment warehouse.
- Leads the warehouse breakage and shrink reductions and is a subject matter expert for stores and inventory control.
- Customer Experience:
- Partner with peers and retail partners to ensure efficiencies are in place and they receive a best in class customer experience.
- Business Strategy Implementation:
- Sets and communicates the strategy for the fulfillment warehouse along with the actions needed to implement it.
- Inspires the workforce to commit to the strategy and translate the strategies into actions needed from each team member to achieve it.
- P&L Management:
- Manages P&L of the fulfillment warehouse and allocation of the budget. Responsible for operational expenses, breakage and shrink.
- Health, Compliance and Safety:
- Ensures national, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, CLD, DOT and MHE) are being followed in the fulfillment spoke.
- Identify instances of risky behaviors within the fulfillment warehouse and take appropriate actions, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
- Keep the fulfillment warehouse up to date on safe working methods.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications
Experience Qualifications
- 4-6 years Supply chain and supervisory experience Required and
- 1-3 years Min 3 years supply chain leadership experience Required
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferred (Medium proficiency)
- Ability to work from the fulfillment warehouse location and travel up to 5% (High proficiency)
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and courteously, adhering to all Company policies and procedures relating to safety. This includes obeying all traffic laws and regulations and maintaining a valid driver’s license with a driving record that falls within the Company requirements.
- Ability to satisfy all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements as outlined in the Field Supplemental Handbook (i.e. ability to wear safety glasses while in the fulfillment warehouse)
- Ability to occasionally lift windshields, up to 35 pounds (High proficiency)
- Change Management - Communicates change and the reasons for change effectively. Prepares appropriate change plans for the workforce and anticipates and mitigates confusion, resistance, and conflict.
- Analyzes data and trends - Utilizes spreadsheets and reporting to address underperformance in the fulfillment warehouse. Navigates spreadsheets to address changing needs and trends.
- Policy and Regulation - Provides guidance and training to others while interpreting and applying comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies in the fulfillment warehouse. Ensures the safety of our associates in the workplace. (Medium proficiency)

- Communicates Effectively – Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
