Overview:
BerryDunn is looking for a skilled Editor to provide editing, formatting, and proofreading for our Consulting Team, with a focus on supporting the development of client deliverables for our professional services consulting teams.
The qualified candidate will work under the direction of the Editorial/Quality Assurance (EQA) Manager, as well as with Managers and Principals to provide editorial reviews and proofreading of deliverables for client engagements.
You Will:
- Provide editorial review and proofreading of client deliverables and related documents
- Prepare presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, handouts, work samples, graphics)
- Perform other chargeable and non-chargeable assignments as directed
- Oversee and coordinate the flow of incoming work requests
- Participate in department growth, development discussions, and planning
- Participate in BerryDunn events (e.g., presentations, conferences) as needed
- Participate in and/or lead EQA New Hire Orientations
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for consultants regarding style, grammar, and formatting
You Have:
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in English, Communication, or Marketing, or other combination of relevant education and experience in a business environment
- 1+ years of successful, demonstrable writing, editorial review, and proofreading experience
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Visio preferred; formatting experience is preferred
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a strict deadline-driven environment
- Ability to learn and understand the broad range of services provided by our consulting practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team of professionals
- Ability to employ critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
Compensation Details:
The base salary range targeted for this role is $55,000 - $58,000.. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
