Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving deli items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties:
- Prepare and serve deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and soups
- Ensure food is prepared according to recipes and food safety guidelines
- Operate cash register and POS system accurately for transactions
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, answering questions and assisting with orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Monitor inventory levels and restock deli items as needed
- Upsell additional products or specials to customers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food handling or food service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong math skills for cash handling and calculating order totals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
