Overview
CTR Maine Inc. in Westbrook, ME is looking to hire a full-time Bookkeeper. This is an in-office position.
We are looking for a responsible Bookkeeper to become an integral member of CTR Maine. This person will report directly to the President. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with staff, clients and other professionals. They need to be organized and adapt quickly to competing priorities. Additionally, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to problem solve are essential for this position.
Duties
● Process internal payroll
● Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable
● Generate accurate invoicing and collection of customer billings.
● Maintain job-costing to ensure accurate billing.
● Use ACH, credit card and other methods to collect payments.
● Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
● Performing month-end closings
● Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
● Responsible for inventory and related reports.
● Maintain and monitor financial records for accuracy.
● Use bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and other databases to post up-to-date financial transactions and maintain appropriate filing systems
● Prepare and provide year end reports to company accountant for tax return preparation.
Experience
● Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Office and various databases
● Knowledge of bookkeeping software, Peachtree/Sage Accounting Software preferred
● Knowledge of Inventory, Purchasing and Invoicing
● 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
