Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Private Credit Analyst to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating private credit investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting the portfolio management process. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial statements, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on investment opportunities, including industry research and competitive analysis.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for internal investment committees.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments, including covenant compliance and financial health of portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop investment strategies and identify potential risks.
- Assist in building financial models to project future cash flows and assess investment returns.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors affecting private credit.
- Contribute to the development of investment theses and assist in sourcing new investment opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software.
