Human Resources Generalist Part-time
Scarborough, Maine
We are working with our client Coastal Women’s Healthcare in seeking a Human Resources Generalist, to be based in their Scarborough, ME office. This is a part-time position (up to 32 hours a week, benefits eligible at 30) and will carry out general day-to-day HR responsibilities including benefits, hiring, employee relations, and bi-weekly payroll.
Requirements of the Human Resources Generalist:
- A bachelor’s degree preferred and at least five years’ experience working as a Human Resources professional preferred.
- SHRM CP or SHRM SCP certification or equivalent highly desired.
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment-related laws and regulations.
- Technical abilities including proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, DocuSign and experience with HRIS/database.
- Sound understanding of benefit plans and benefits administration.
- Ability to commute to Scarborough, ME up to four days a week.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist:
- Employee relations, coaching, supporting and advising employees at all levels.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Coordinates and administers employee benefit plans and related reporting and compliance.
- Develops, updates, and implements personnel policies and procedures.
- Oversees and maintains records as required by law or other departments within the practice.
- Maintains personnel files and human resources database.
- Processes bi-weekly payroll.
- Represents the practice at personnel related hearings and investigations.
- Conducts salary surveys to determine and implement competitive compensation programs.
- Handles credentialing of new providers and maintains credentialing information in conjunction with outside credentialing consultant.
- Assists in coordinating company sponsored events.
- Attends and participates in staff and team meetings.
