About the Role:
As a Customer Service Representative - Accounts Receivable, you’ll be at the forefront of resolving patient billing issues, setting up payment plans, providing price estimates, and ensuring that every patient interaction is a positive one. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our patients feel heard, supported, and satisfied with their billing experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Address patient account issues swiftly and accurately, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Dive into patient account histories and liaise with internal and external resources to get to the root of issues.
- Know when to escalate issues to ensure they’re handled by the right personnel.
- Keep meticulous notes on patient accounts, tracking issues and responses.
- Assist patients with setting up payment plans and resolving billing and collection errors.
- Engage in various account-related special projects as they arise.
What You Bring:

- Background in finance or healthcare revenue cycle.
- Excel in a fast-paced, structured environment with high call volumes.
- Familiarity with payer websites and medical billing software is a plus.
- Solid understanding of insurance programs.
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Preferably 5+ years of extensive customer service experience.
