The Provider Coding and Compliance Specialist role is responsible for providing chart auditing, coding education and overseeing coding compliance for all providers. Assists practice leaders, office staff, providers and charge entry staff with resolving coding questions/problems.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Certified Professional Coder (CPC, CCS or CCS-P) required. 3. Experience: Three years of related experience required. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding.
