Summary:
The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.
The Clinical Engineering team is made up of 19 biomed techs with three buyers and one admin. We are a part of the MaineHealth IT department. We maintain and manage all of the hospital medical equipment.
As our intern you will assist our biomed technicians with preventive maintenance, repairs and testing of new equipment, as well as other related tasks related to the job.
Preference will be given to students pursuing clinical engineering, biomedical technology, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or related areas.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate’s Degree program, Bachelor’s Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
