Who are we?
As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in reviewing, examining, and evaluating complex applications for licensure for a variety of professional licensing boards and program. Specific responsibilities include customer service, information management systems, evaluating complex educational, practice experience, national level examination passage, practice compliance, preparing and conducting studies, summarizing findings, preparing reports, and recommending changes in, programs, policies, procedures, or practices in administrative, training, customer service, and information management systems. This position will also be responsible for prioritizing, managing, and tracking complaint case management and other projects.
Full-time position. Offices located at the Gardner Annex Building with hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. After successfully completing a period of in-person training and upon determination of reaching successful performance level, partial teleworking with management approval may be considered.
Comprehensive Health Planner II- This classification is distinguished from the next lower level (Comprehensive Health Planner I) by the general nature of assignments and the greater discretion exercised on methods and procedures used. Supervision may be exercised over professional and/or technical employees. Work is performed under limited supervision.
Representative Tasks:
- Manage all aspects and process involved with licensing applications for professionals and entities based on applicable laws and rules, including decisions related to eligibility determinations.
- Write complex communications and technical reports addressing identified problems and corrective actions and prepare a variety of official documents associated with licensing and compliance.
- Plans and prepared board meetings, hearings and other events, including preparation of agendas, minutes and document compilation and dissemination.
- Manage and coordinate administrative complaint case management and enforcement actions and outcome reports.
- Examine, interpret and explain regulatory laws and rules.
- Manage several projects effectively and maximize workflow efficiencies.
- Develop and deliver informational presentations at meetings, workshops and other events in order to explain department programs and policies.
Skills or knowledge required:
- Knowledge of health care and allied health care professions and health services systems.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations and fundamental coordination.
- Ability to establish communication effectively with health care professionals and businesses, regulators, enforcement officials, attorneys
- Ability to develop, organize, and complete planning and research projects and manage several projects at once, including board meetings and adjudicatory hearings.
- Ability to examine, interpret and explain complex regulatory laws and rules.
- Ability to write and develop clear and concise communications and complex reports.
- Ability to concurrently manage several projects effectively and maximize workflow efficiencies and time management.
- Ability to comprehend direction with minimal direction and follow complex written and oral instructions.
Minimum qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Public/Community Health, Health Administration, Health Sciences or Health Education; Public Administration, Government, Social Work, or a closely related field and three (3) years professional experience in the planning, development, coordination and/or evaluation of health programs or services -OR- an equivalent seven (7) year combination of education, training, and experience.
