The Town of Essex Board of Public Works seeks a qualified applicant to fill the position of Superintendent of Public Works. The applicant should be an energetic, self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as high attention to detail.
This is a full time, FLSA-exempt (salaried) position. This position reports to the Board of Public Works pursuant to a Special Act approved by the State Legislature in 1973 and the Board of Public Works will determine the successful candidate. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, at least 10 years related work experience, and a valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license are required. Preferred qualifications may be found in the position description. A pre-employment physical and drug test and CORI check are required.
The current annual salary is $120,000 to $160,000.
