As a Strategy Director for Utilities software for the public sector, you will shape and lead our strategic direction within the utilities market. This senior-level role is responsible for defining long-term growth strategy, driving innovative initiatives, and serving as a prominent evangelist. The ideal candidate combines deep utilities domain expertise with enterprise software strategy experience.

Responsibilities- Serve as the resident expert in utilities. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies and translate them into strategic initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive market analyses to assess customer needs, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities. Translate market insights into actionable strategies to penetrate new markets, expand product offerings, and drive revenue growth.
- Partner closely with Product Management to shape roadmap priorities based on market needs and competitive differentiation.
- Champion innovation within the utilities ERP portfolio, identifying opportunities for digital transformation, automation, analytics, AI/ML, and cloud modernization.
- Establish yourself as a thought leader in the utilities software space through participation in industry conferences, speaking engagements, and publication of white papers or articles.
Scope & Impact
This is a senior position with significant responsibility in the strategic direction of our products. This position will conduct market research, analyze that research, and propose major project initiatives with the objective of improving our position in the public sector market. This position will require travel to meet with prospects, consultants, clients, attending demonstrations, and industry-related conferences.
Complexity
Deep understanding of utilities operations, processes, and challenges, particularly in water or electricity management. Driving strategic initiatives from conception to execution, delivering measurable results in revenue growth, market share expansion, or operational efficiency improvement. Leverage your expertise to elevate the company's brand, credibility, and influence within the market.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Information Systems, or similar
- Experience and technical acumen with using AI
- Minimum of seven years of experience required
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel 25-30%
- Professional certifications in applicable areas of expertise a plus
State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure RequirementsSalary will generally fall between $164,862 - $185,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
