We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Foreman to lead field operations and oversee the safe, efficient erection of structural steel on active job sites. This role requires strong leadership, solid technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate crews and equipment while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct field crews, including ironworkers, welders, and riggers; assign daily tasks and monitor productivity
- Interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide field installation
- Oversee the erection and installation of beams, columns, girders, and related structural components
- Enforce all safety regulations and site-specific requirements; lead toolbox talks and perform routine safety inspections
- Ensure quality control, including proper alignment, bolt tensioning, and adherence to welding standards
- Plan and coordinate work schedules to meet project deadlines
- Collaborate with general contractors and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve conflicts
- Coordinate the use of cranes, lifts, and rigging equipment for safe and efficient operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, including material discrepancies and design challenges
- Report progress, delays, and incidents to project managers or superintendents
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of structural steel erection methods and connections
- Proven leadership and crew management experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Experience
- 5+ years of experience as an ironworker or steel erecton
- Prior experience in a leadership role (Lead Hand or Foreman preferred)
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA, rigging, or welding are an asset
