ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE
Administrative Associate – Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department
Full-time, 37.5 hours/week.
Our Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department is hiring an administrative associate! Primary responsibilities for this position will involve financial administrative duties for the department that involves working independently in a highly organized environment and considerable accuracy and attention to detail. A qualified candidate for this position will have working knowledge of payroll processes, accounting principles, methods, procedures and applicable experience with spreadsheets and accounting software. This position will assist with the completion of weekly payroll for union, nonunion and per diem employees, assist with budget preparation, and will also assist with billing and tracking revenues and expenditures related to parks, recreation and facilities management.
Requirements:
- Must possess prior experience in payroll processing, maintenance of files, records, and budget information.
- Must have excellent customer service experience.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Experience with budgets in a computerized environment.
- Cash handling experience which includes preparing receipt, reports, and making deposits.
- Google Suite and computer experience and knowledge of accounting software is required.
- Must possess a valid Class C driver's license and have and maintain a good driving record.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous clerical or administration experience in a municipal agency.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Working knowledge of Munis accounting software or pertinent software to department.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 12) - $21.87 - $22.85/hr.
