Gateway is looking for a new therapist to join our team! We are currently offering a per-diem, or fee-for-service, structure. Therapist must be willing to work with children and adults. The outpatient therapist will provide culturally competent mental health services to individuals and families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Be willing to see individuals in home or in office as per client needs (or via telehealth as needed/appropriate)
- Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients.
- Complete clinical documentation and be comfortable with writing individual treatment plans.
- Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
- Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
- Stay current with updated research and best practices.
- Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
- Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
- Maintain case files within electronic health record (EHR) that are up to date as per the agency policy.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals/families in crisis and strong emphasis on trauma informed practices.
- Skill in working with a variety of cultures.
- Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies.
- Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions and work on a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be Licensed in the State of Maine; LMSW-cc, LMSW, LCSW, LCPC, LCPC-c
