Description
We are a Non-Profit organization located in Portland, Maine, and we are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to become a part of our team. In the role of a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, and payroll. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and will be crucial in maintaining the financial stability of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
Perform account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data
Carry out bookkeeping tasks to keep our financial records up to date
Oversee payroll duties, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time
Use Sage Intacct for various financial management tasks
Perform bank reconciliations to prevent any discrepancies
Uphold a high level of confidentiality with all financial data
Ensure all financial transactions comply with the organization's policies and procedures
Address any financial discrepancies or issues in a timely and detail oriented manner
Requirements
Proven experience in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP), managing all outgoing payments and vendor invoices.
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), tracking and ensuring timely collection of all payments.
Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations, comparing internal financial records with bank statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Demonstrated expertise in Bookkeeping, maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions.
Experience in managing Payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Proficiency in using Sage Intacct accounting software, utilizing its features for efficient financial management
