Sacopee Valley Health Center is seeking an Administrative Medical Assistant who has the passion, customer service, and administrative skills to work with our Medical and Behavioral Health Team.
Sacopee Valley Health Center has been providing excellent care to our community's residents since 1976, when it was started in a farmhouse by community organizers. Today, you will join a healthcare organization with a staff of almost 90 employees providing medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare for almost 7,000 patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Communicate with patients via telephone and other means to confirm appointments, provide information about our behavioral health and other programs, etc.
2. Process new patient intakes over the phone and/or in person.
3. Update electronic medical records.
4. Monitor patient flow and provider schedules to ensure positive patient experiences.
5. Keep track of authorizations and faxes in Outpatient Treatment Report.
6. Scan and keep track of due dates for Individualized Action Plans.
7. Take minutes for team meetings.
8. Manage provider-to-provider calls.
Qualifications Needed for this Position
- At least one year of experience in Behavioral Health setting preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, understand, and apply clinical policies and procedures
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
- Ability to organize, establish priorities and coordinate work activities
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use the medical records system and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
