Title: KVCC Biology Faculty (Full-time)
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit.
Responsibilities: This full-time faculty position includes teaching responsibilities in the Biological Sciences Program starting with the Fall 2026 semester. The instructor will teach a combination of lecture and laboratory classes, provide student advising, develop curriculum, conduct assessment for current and new courses, and participate in student success and retention activities. This is a full-time, on-campus position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field.
- 2+ years teaching in a community college environment
- Experience teaching biology, microbiology and biochemistry at the college level.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in molecular biology techniques.
- Research experience in a molecular, biochemistry or biotechnology lab.
- Experience utilizing a learning management system such as Brightspace.
