Title: KVCC Mathematics Faculty (Full-time)
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit.
Responsibilities: The full-time faculty will teach a full range of math courses that may include Quantitative Reasoning, College Algebra, Technical Math I and II, Math for Business and Economics, Math for Educators, Precalculus, and Statistics. Responsibilities include course delivery (15 credits per semester), student and institutional learning outcomes assessment, student advising, student success and retention activities, and curriculum development. This is a full-time on-campus position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field
- Demonstrated ability to use instructional technology effectively
- 3+ years’ experience teaching Mathematics courses at a post-secondary level
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Community college teaching experience
- Experience with learning outcome assessment
- Experience utilizing a learning management system such as Brightspace.
- Familiarity with MyOpenMath platform
