“The Shop” by Island Creek Oysters—a raw bar and retail shellfish market—is now hiring for our service team for the summer season. We are seeking part-time individuals who are ready to work hard and enjoy doing it.
Counter service experience is ideal, and weekend availability is required. The position currently offers two days per week, with more shifts available as summer approaches and the opportunity to pick up additional coverage if interested.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A personalized approach to customer service
- An upbeat personality
- The ability to thrive in a busy restaurant environment
Job Responsibilities:
- Create a friendly and welcoming environment for all guests
- Accurately process food and beverage orders
- Prepare drinks using established recipes
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of food and drink menus
- Maintain a positive attitude and clear communication with teammates
- Help maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Run food and bus/reset tables
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum of one year of serving or bartending experience is a plus, but not required
- A keen interest and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
