North Yarmouth Academy seeks an enthusiastic Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our nurturing, Montessori-inspired classrooms, where learning is child-directed and rooted in the development of independence and social-emotional growth.
This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about working with young children and eager to contribute to a vibrant PreK–Postgraduate school community. The successful candidate will have a warmth and generosity of spirit, the ability to work collaboratively, a responsible and trustworthy nature, and demonstrated experience working with young children.
This is a full-time, school-year position beginning in late August. The role offers a competitive wage, along with opportunities for additional income during vacation periods and the summer months. Regular hours are approximately 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the classroom, Monday through Friday, with additional responsibilities in the after-school program 3–4 days per week (up to 6 hours weekly).
