Patient Service Representative
Location: Portland, Maine | Schedule: Full-Time | Model: Hybrid
Pay Range: $24.39/hour to $26.65/hour (commensurate with education, skills, and experience)

The Role
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is often the first voice a patient hears when they reach out to PGC. Working from our Contact Center, you will handle inbound and outbound calls to help patients connect with the care they need -- scheduling appointments, coordinating follow-up, and communicating across our clinical and surgical departments. This is a hybrid position reporting to the Patient and Provider Experience Manager.

What You'll Do
- Field inbound calls and place outbound calls to connect new and existing patients with PGC care
- Schedule patients for clinic visits, procedures, and follow-up consultations at PGC and external locations
- Provide follow-up communication to patients and providers via phone, letter, and fax
- Meet performance goals established by the Patient and Provider Experience Manager
- Follow all Contact Center policies and procedures
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two or more years of related experience required; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
- Clear, professional, and compassionate communicator -- comfortable on the phone with patients of all backgrounds
- Organized and able to manage a high volume of calls and tasks without losing focus
- Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment
- Proficient with computers; ability to learn scheduling and EMR systems quickly
- Discreet and dependable when handling confidential patient information
